Back to Home page  Service Users Speak About Staff

Here are some things that the Service User Network think about the staff who support them. Here are Lee, Craig and Sam to explain:

GOOD THINGS ARE:
Need to be patient
Need to keep things confidential
Prompt and on time
Don't want somebody who shouts or is grumpy.
We want somebody who can take time to explain
Polite and respectful
We want staff who can spend time showing us how to do things, if there is something we're not sure about
Help us to do things independently
Good at communicating
Letting people choose what they want to do
Good at listening to us when we want to talk
Kind and friendly

SOME BAD THINGS ARE:
Turning the TV over without asking and
Being asked to turn TV off when staff think it is too late
Don't like staff opening our mail
